To apply online for the post of Scale – I Administrative Officer in NICL, the detailed criteria list is as follows:

As per the official notification released by the NICL, the written exam for all (except for Hindi Rajbhasa Officers) will be conducted in two phases – Prelims & Mains. written exam for Hindi Rajbhasha officers will be conducted in a single phase. Shortlisted candidates based on the marks scored will be called for the interview & document verification. The detailed selection procedure is mentioned below-

Written Exam (Applicable for all disciplines except for Hindi Officers)

Preliminary examination – Online objective test (Multiple Choice Questions) will have 3 sections of 100 Marks and each section will be timed separately (20 mins duration for each section). A candidate must qualify for each section by securing cut-off marks decided by NICL to appear in the main examination.

Mains Examination – Mains exam will consist of an objective test for 250 marks and a descriptive exam for 30 marks. Both the exams will be conducted through online mode. The descriptive exam will be qualifying in nature, shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview based on marks scored in the mains exam.

Interview – Shortlisted candidates will be called for Interview and document verification. Candidates must score minimum qualifying marks to be considered for final selection.

Final Selection – The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the Mains Exam & interview. The weightage of the Mains Exam & Interview will be 80:20 respectively. Final appointment of the selected candidates will be subject to being found medically fit as per NICL requirements.
